What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Dental Assistant in Pediatric Dental Office position at Paramount Pediatric Dentistry?
This position is 3 days per week dedicated to orthodontics. For candidates interested in additional hours, there is an optional 4th day available working as a Pediatric Dental Assistant.
Location: Paramount Pediatric Dentistry - Hales Corners location

Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during exams and orthodontic procedures
- Prepare and break down treatment rooms
- Take digital X-rays, impressions, and intraoral photos
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances (as permitted by state law)
- Educate children and parents on oral hygiene and braces care
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Help create a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere for young patients
Qualifications:
- Experience in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry preferred
- Comfortable working with children of all ages
- Friendly, energetic, and patient-focused personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
