Recreational Therapy Assistant
Paramount Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a high-energy Recreational Therapy Assistant to join our premier skilled nursing team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will work directly with our residents carry out the monthly activities calendar, ensuring every day is filled with engaging, purposeful programming to elevate their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Calendar Implementation: Lead and execute daily group and individual activities from our monthly schedule, ranging from fitness and music to cognitive games and creative arts.
- Director Support: Assist the Recreation Director with clinical documentation, tracking patient attendance, and recording resident engagement levels.
- Resident Engagement: Encourage socialization, foster a positive environment, and safely transport residents to and from scheduled activities.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Therapeutic Recreation Technician (TRT) certification in the state of Utah is highly preferred.
- Certification Pathway: Unlicensed candidates with a strong background in senior care will be considered, provided they obtain their Utah state TRT certification within 4 months of employment.
- Experience: Experience in Recreation Therapy within a Skilled Nursing or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Documentation Skills: Proven proficiency in accurately recording and reporting clinical data to meet insurance, regulatory, and non-pharmacological compliance standards.

Full-Time
Monday - Friday
Rotating Weekends (Saturday day shift only)
