Entry Level Facilities Maintenance

Job Summary

The Facility Maintenance will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned building and property.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform general maintenance of building such as basic electrical, basic plumbing, painting, plaster/drywall, light carpentry, light masonry work, landscaping to include snow removal, possible appliance repairs and flooring.
• Ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
• Handling tasks related to plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Maintain tools and workplace so that shop conditions are neat and orderly.
• Use of variety of hand and power tools and test instruments.
• NOTE: Job may require on-call duty, extended hours, or weekend work

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of hands-on experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment, or any equivalent combination of education and work experience
