Overview And Responsibilities
KCBS2/KCAL9, the CBS Owned & Operated Duopoly in Los Angeles, is seeking a Senior Producer –someone who can be an immediate standout in a newsroom that produces eleven and a half hours of news a day! The ideal candidate for this position would have a wide variety of producing experience. We are looking for someone who has worked as a newscast line producer, as a field or investigative unit producer and has produced half hour and hour specials. If you feel like you’ve done it all and are looking for that next big challenge, this may be the spot for you.

Hiring Salary Range: $125,000.00 - 135,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Collaborate with a wide range of personnel to build compelling content.
- Generate story ideas and participate in editorial meetings
- College degree required or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience, preferably in a top 20 market
- Ability to work with a large and diverse staff in a professional manner.
- Experience with Avid I-News, and Grass Valley group server and newsroom editing systems a plus.
- Newswriting, line producing and field producing background.
- Maintain a steadfast dedication to accuracy and fairness
- Strong people skills.
- Past management experience
