Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with a lively, positive attitude and manage guest check-in procedures efficiently.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest flow while maintaining excellent guest relations.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant offerings.
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, ensuring a smooth flow of seating.
- Assist with guest inquiries and special requests, demonstrating excellent communication skills and hospitality.
- Answering the phone for customer questions and To-Go order taking.
- Distributing To-Go orders with accuracy, inquiring with guests if there is anything else they need to make their at home experience just as fantastic as their in restaurant experience.
- Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness in the host station and adhering to health regulations.
- Keeping a clean station before, during, and after shift.
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude.
- Experience in food service or hospitality roles that involve guest interaction and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations expertise.
- Basic math skills for handling seating calculations and POS transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus.
