Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Receiving Supervisor to lead our inbound logistics operations and ensure seamless warehouse distribution. In this vital role, you will oversee the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of incoming shipments, maintaining optimal inventory management and inventory control standards. Duties
- Supervise daily receiving activities, including unloading shipments using forklifts and other materials handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ensure accurate processing of inbound shipments through the warehouse management system, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders.
- Manage inventory control by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining precise records to support inventory accuracy.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize shipping & receiving workflows, reduce errors, and enhance overall warehouse efficiency.
- Coordinate with office personnel for inbound deliveries and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards by conducting safety audits, training team members on proper materials handling techniques, heavy lifting procedures, and mechanical operation safety.
- Maintain compliance with all warehouse policies related to shipping & receiving processes and materials handling procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or team management within a distribution or logistics environment.
- Extensive knowledge of inventory management systems.
- Hands-on experience with forklift operation and certification; mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, materials handling techniques, and heavy lifting safety standards aligned with OSHA regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a safety-first environment.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
