Our employee-owners include engineers, planners, scientists, landscape architects, surveyors, and construction managers who care deeply about client service and long-term relationships. We collaborate closely with our clients to envision what’s possible—and create tomorrow, together.

We’re proud to be a Best Place to Work, offering flexible and hybrid work environments that support meaningful connections, work-life balance, and professional growth. With shared ownership, strong benefits, and a supportive culture, Parametrix is a place where people build careers—not just projects.

About The Role

Parametrix is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our small but growing Spokane office. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned engineer who wants to combine technical leadership, client partnership, and mentorship—while helping shape the future of a local practice within an established, employee-owned firm.

You will lead civil infrastructure projects for local agencies, tribes, state agencies, and private developers, while working closely with our Operations Manager and senior leaders. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with in-office presence to support collaboration, mentoring, and client relationships.

For the right person, this position offers visibility, influence, and the opportunity to make a meaningful mark without the pressure of a large, highly layered organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and deliver complex civil infrastructure projects from planning through construction
  • Serve as a trusted technical and client partner on local and regional projects
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on project strategy, scope, schedule, and budgets
  • Support business development efforts and help grow long-term client relationships
  • Mentor and support earlier-career engineers and technical staff
  • Contribute to the continued growth and stability of the Spokane office

What You Bring

  • 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience in one or more of the following: roadway, stormwater, sewer, water, and/or site development
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex projects
  • Experience developing and sustaining client relationships in the Northwest
  • Interest in leadership, mentorship, and contributing to a small-office environment

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $115,000–$160,000 , depending on qualifications, experience, location, and role responsibilities.

As a 100% employee-owned company, Parametrix offers performance-based bonuses, annual salary reviews, and participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). We value transparency and welcome open conversations about compensation, ownership, and long-term growth.

Why Join Parametrix?

Employee Ownership & Long-Term Stability

As an employee-owner, you share in the success of the firm and earn stock through our ESOP. This role offers the opportunity to build long-term value while contributing directly to the success of a local office.

  • Short- and long-term disability insurance
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)

  • Parental bonding leave
