About the Opportunity

Parametrix is seeking an established cultural resources professional to help expand our presence and grow our cultural resources practice in Oregon. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has developed strong relationships within Oregon's cultural resources market, enjoys connecting clients with solutions, and is excited about playing a meaningful role in building a practice.

You'll have the opportunity to leverage your industry relationships and market knowledge while benefiting from the resources, multidisciplinary expertise, and established client base of a 100% employee-owned consulting firm. With existing cultural resources professionals in Washington, Idaho, California, and New Mexico, you'll have a collaborative network to support project delivery and future growth.

This is a client-facing leadership opportunity that combines business development, client management, project leadership, and technical expertise.

We are looking for someone who knows the Oregon market, has built trusted client relationships, and is motivated by the opportunity to help grow a successful practice.

Your Role on the Team:

  • Grow our Oregon cultural resources practice by identifying opportunities, developing new business, and expanding relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Leverage your established professional network to strengthen Parametrix's presence in Oregon and position the firm for new cultural resources opportunities.
  • Lead client relationships and strategic pursuits, including client engagement, proposal development, teaming opportunities, and long-term business planning.
  • Manage and deliver cultural resources projects, providing oversight of scope, schedule, budget, technical quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted technical and regulatory advisor, guiding clients through cultural resources compliance, permitting, and project-related challenges.
  • Help shape and grow our team, providing technical mentorship and supporting future recruitment as the practice expands.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • 12 years of professional cultural resources management experience, including project leadership, client management, and business development responsibilities.
  • Established professional relationships within Oregon's cultural resources market, with demonstrated success developing business opportunities, securing work, or expanding client accounts.
  • Experience identifying and pursuing cultural resources opportunities, developing proposals, and building a sustainable pipeline of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cultural resources projects, including managing scope, schedule, budget, and technical delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Oregon's cultural resources regulatory environment, including NHPA Section 106, NEPA, and applicable state requirements.
  • A master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History, Historic Preservation, Cultural Resources Management, or a closely related field.
  • Qualifications meeting the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards in an applicable discipline.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial approach and an interest in helping build a practice within an established multidisciplinary consulting firm.
