Summary:
This position requires a professional with a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and management. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting of the company and related entities, including hands-on daily activities. The candidate will ensure that all financial reports are accurate and interpret data that is shared with executives of a company. The candidate will also be tasked with keeping the business in compliance with financials laws and regulations. The candidate will complete all tax preparation and payment, conduct financial audits, coordinating complex accounting projects, and preparing account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Hands on management of day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting.
- Perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting.
- Preparation/coordination/submission of tax related paperwork – local, state and federal levels
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision making by senior management
- Manage the financial operations of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to government financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP standards.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations to ensure compliance
- Manage relationships with external customers, accounting firms and auditors.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- 4-10 years of professional accounting experience.
- High level experience using QuickBooks Online.
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to discover potential risks for our company.
- Manage time and multiple priorities effectively.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with the team and external customers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
- Work independently with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
