Parallel Projects is a company devoted to helping photographers, stylists, and small to medium sized creative agencies keep track of their finances while allowing them to focus primarily on their art. Parallel Projects started in New York City and has expanded into London and Los Angeles. Our goal is to handle monthly finances and bridge between the creatives --- their agents and their CPA's. Parallel Projects works with high end clients delivering top level services. This position is for someone who is not looking to pursue a generic corporate role in Finance.
This position is NYC BASED. You must be in NYC in order to commute to the office 4 days a week. This position works from. All out of state applicants will not be considered.
Accounts Payable:• Distribution and posting of supplier invoices• Processing of company’s credit card statements• Paying suppliers• Collecting and Inputting W9's

Key Success Factors:Ownership of responsibilities, Time management, Multi-tasking, being pro-active, reliable, accurate, diplomatic, detail orientated, must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
This position reports directly to the owner who works from the South Beach office in a hybrid role.
Qualifications

ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable:• Allocation of bank transfers / cheque receipts• Anticipates developments, and identifies accounts that will require special attention• Raising sales invoices/credit notes as applicableAccounts Payable:• Distribution and posting of supplier invoices• Processing of company’s credit card statements• Paying suppliers• Collecting and Inputting W9's
Financial Management
- Knowledge of P&L and Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow & Budgeting experience encouraged
- Analytical thinking to recognize client patterns & be able to work through workflow nuances with each client
Additional Tasks• Bank Reconciliations• Email Management (at times high volume)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years experience in financial analyst or accounting role. Preferable in fashion, entertainment or advertising.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Quickbooks Experience is a must
- Interest in business/fashion/advertising industry
Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
