Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a Construction Foreman covering various Michigan locations. The Construction Foreman will oversee and manage construction projects, coordinate with teams, and ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within quality standards. Responsibilities will include supervising construction crews, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations, working with heavy equipment, and performing hands-on tasks when necessary. The Foreman will also communicate effectively with project stakeholders and address any issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle.
We have multiple projects in progress that spread across the state of Michigan. Ability to cover different locations dependent upon schedule durations/changes would be required. Teams are subcontracted, communicating effectively with various skill levels and backgrounds is essential to be successful in this role.
To be as transparent as possible, we often receive late notices regarding project changes. Having an adaptive mindset is critical and we will stay ahead of changes as best we can in order to keep chaos to a minimum.
Compensation
1099
Rate: $60/hour
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Carpentry and proficiency in handling and operating heavy equipment
- Experience in Quality Control processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Effective Communication skills for team coordination and stakeholder collaboration
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and understanding of construction management
- Ability to lead diverse teams and ensure workplace safety
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and plans
- Previous experience in cleanroom construction is a plus
- Relevant certifications or licenses in construction, engineering, or heavy equipment operation are an advantage
