About Parakletos Home Care: Parakletos Home Care (PHC) is a licensed 24/7 Level III Residential Treatment Facility serving children and adolescents with mental illness, emotional disturbance, substance use disorders, and co‐occurring disabilities. PHC provides structured care, therapeutic support, and skill‐building services to help youth stabilize and transition successfully into natural or therapeutic home settings.
Role Summary:
Paraprofessionals (Direct Care Staff) provide direct and indirect care to meet the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of clients. Staff ensure supervision at all times, both inside the facility and during community outings, in accordance with each client’s treatment plan. A Qualified Professional is always available by phone, and staff must be able to reach the facility within 30 minutes.
Key Responsibilities:
Build trust with clients and co‐workers through clear, respectful communication
Use person‐centered practices to support client short‐ and long‐term goals
Monitor and document client physical and emotional health
Identify risks and intervene using approved crisis‐prevention strategies
Utilize therapeutic techniques to de‐escalate agitation or aggression
Maintain confidentiality and uphold client rights
Document residential behavior every 15 minutes throughout the shift
Submit all notes at the end of each shift
Report changes in behavior or health immediately to Associate or Qualified Professionals
Lead clients in therapeutic, recreational, and daily living activities
Assist with medication administration as directed by licensed professionals
Support client intake and discharge
Serve meals and assist clients with eating
Assist with hygiene, bathing preparation, and daily living routines
Maintain facility cleanliness (linens, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, etc.)
Escort clients to groups, school, jobs, medical appointments, and community outings
Ensure proper supervision and safety during all activities
Note: PHC is a 24‐hour facility. Staff may not leave their shift without proper relief.
Mandatory Training Requirements (Completed Within 30 Days of Hire):
PHC covers all training costs unless already completed.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass background check & drug screening
Reliable transportation
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience in residential care, behavioral health, or youth services preferred
Must be able to reach the facility within 30 minutes
Schedule & Compensation:
Full‐time and part‐time shifts available
Training provided and covered by PHC
