What are the responsibilities and job description for the F&B Manager position at PARAGON TROPICANA INC?
We’re seeking a hands-on, experienced Food & Beverage Manager with a strong background in bar operations and high-volume outlets to oversee daily functions, lead a high-performing team, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role plays a key part in supporting our bar program and the operational success of Steak ’n Shake, ensuring smooth service execution in a fast-paced, multi-outlet environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Bar Operations & Guest Services
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets with a strong emphasis on bar service excellence
- Ensure proper liquor handling, mixology standards, and product consistency
- Support bartenders and floor teams during peak business periods with a visible, hands-on leadership style
- Support Steak ’n Shake Operations
- Partner closely with the Steak ’n Shake outlet team to maintain speed of service, food quality, and guest satisfaction
- Assist with staffing, training, and operational flow specific to the Steak ’n Shake concept
- Monitor cleanliness, production systems, and adherence to brand standards
- Team Leadership & Performance
- Supervise and motivate staff across outlets, ensuring high service quality and teamwork
- Manage hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
- Operational & Financial Management
- Maintain labor, beverage cost, and overall outlet financial controls
- Oversee inventory levels, receiving, and vendor communication—especially for bar and beverage needs
- Ensure accuracy of payroll, revenue reporting, tip distribution, and required documentation
- Compliance & Standards
- Uphold all health, safety, sanitation, and liquor laws
- Ensure full compliance with SOPs, internal controls, and local regulations
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for guests and employees
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of F&B management experience in a high-volume, multi-outlet environment
- 2 years of bar, beverage, or F&B supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Solid knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverage programs
- Must be 21 and able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
