Position Summary
Paragon Skin & Surgery is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our patients, this role plays a vital part in creating an exceptional patient experience. Essential ResponsibilitiesPatient Experience
Welcome patients with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Answer questions and direct patients appropriately.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in every patient interaction.
Scheduling & Communication
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Make appointment reminder calls and communicate schedule changes as needed.
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Accurately relay messages to providers and clinical staff.
- Assist with patient recalls and follow-up scheduling.
Registration & Documentation
- Accurately enter and update patient demographics.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
- Collect insurance cards, identification, referrals, and required documentation.
- Scan and upload patient paperwork into the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure all patient information is complete and accurate before appointments.
- Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances according to office policy.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
- Assist with daily front office workflow and administrative tasks.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Communicate effectively with providers and fellow team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the practice.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred.
- Dermatology experience is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and medical scheduling preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Strong computer and telephone skills.

Friday: 7:40am - 1:00pm
Pay: $23.04 - $27.74 per hour
