We operate as an extension of our clients’ leadership teams and, in many cases, serve as the dedicated benefits department. We pride ourselves on being strategic, responsive, and people-focused.


We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to support 5–8 clients while working closely with Paragon leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves helping employees, enjoys the details of benefits administration, and wants the flexibility of a remote, part-time role.


Position Overview

This is a hands-on, employee-support role for someone who excels in a service-oriented environment. You’ll be a direct resource for employees, assist with eligibility and data accuracy, manage recurring administrative tasks, and support smooth day-to-day benefits operations.


A significant portion of our operational work leverages automation and AI, meaning you’ll be able to spend more time on meaningful, high-impact work that helps employees feel confident in their benefits.


You will not be required to sell, produce financial reporting, or conduct carrier marketing.


The role is:

·      Remote

·      Flexible, with the ability to set your own schedule

·      Independent, ideal for someone self-driven and highly organized

·      People-first, serving as a trusted guide to employees and clients


Key Responsibilities:

·      Employee & member support

·      Serve as a primary point of contact for employees across multiple clients

·      Assist employees with claims issues, ID cards, coverage questions, and transitions

·      Work directly with carriers to resolve service issues

·      Support virtual education and Q&A sessions


Eligibility, Data & Administration

·      Monitor and manage monthly eligibility updates

·      Support client invoicing process

·      Audit enrollment data for accuracy throughout the year

·      Support onboarding and termination processes


Communications & Engagement

·      Draft employee-facing communications

·      Coordinate with carriers to highlight programs and resources

·      Create benefit summaries and educational materials

·      Support open enrollment activities


Client Team Support

·      Participate in virtual client meetings

·      Assist with follow-up items and documentation

·      Ensure clients receive timely, high-quality support

·      Collaborate with leadership on workflows and priorities


Qualifications

·      Minimum 5 years of experience in employee benefits or HR generalist work

·      Strong customer-service mindset

·      Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

·      Comfort working independently in a remote environment

·      Clear, friendly communicator

·      Proficient with data extraction from HRIS systems (i.e., Dayforce, Paylocity, Rippling)

·      Proficient with Excel and processes to manipulate census information
