About the Role:
Paragon Prep is seeking a dedicated and supportive Teacher Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with children, flexible, and eager to contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment. This role supports classroom instruction, student supervision, and daily operational needs to help ensure every student thrives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher with instructional activities, small-group work, and one-on-one student support.
- Help prepare materials, organize learning centers, and set up classroom activities.
- Reinforce lessons, classroom procedures, and school expectations.
- Monitor students during class, transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities.
- Provide redirection, encouragement, and positive behavior reinforcement.
- Support the social and emotional needs of students in collaboration with the teacher.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting preferred.
- The ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- A positive, energetic, and patient demeanor with strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
