Position Summary
Paragon Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Pharmacy Technician / Fulfillment Specialist to support daily pharmacy operations. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys a variety of responsibilities and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will assist with prescription processing, data entry, medication preparation, non-sterile compounding, packaging, shipping, and inventory management while maintaining compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prescription Processing & Data Entry
- Enter new prescriptions accurately into the pharmacy management system.
- Review prescriptions for completeness and communicate with pharmacists regarding any discrepancies.
- Process patient demographics and prescription records.
- Maintain accurate electronic patient and prescription records.
- Assist with refill requests and prescription tracking.
Pharmacy Operations
- Fill and package prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Perform medication counting and packaging.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, cycle counts, and ordering supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the pharmacy.
Non-Sterile Compounding
- Prepare non-sterile compounded medications in accordance with USP <795>, pharmacy policies, and formulation records.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately.
- Complete all required compounding documentation and batch records.
- Assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance.
Shipping & Fulfillment
- Package prescriptions for shipment in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
- Verify shipping accuracy and assist with temperature-sensitive packaging and shipping procedures when applicable.
Compliance & Quality
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
- Follow established SOPs and quality assurance procedures.
- Participate in training programs and competency assessments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work environment.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain licensure.
- At least 2 years Pharmacy Technician experience
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with prescription data entry and pharmacy software systems.
- Experience in compounding pharmacy operations.
- Experience with shipping and fulfillment processes.
- National certification through PTCB or ExCPT.
- Experience in a 503A compounding pharmacy environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving packaging, labeling, and prescription preparation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
