We are seeking a Horticultural Crew Leader to manage a skilled team on luxury residential properties. This is a senior role for experienced horticulturists with strong plant knowledge, pruning skills, and leadership experience.
Position Overview
As Horticultural Crew Leader, you will oversee all aspects of garden maintenance on a prestigious property. You’ll lead a crew, perform hands-on horticultural work, and ensure every detail of the gardens reflects Paragon’s high standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of 2–3 garden professionals on a high-end residential property
- Perform and oversee advanced horticultural tasks:
- Hand pruning of shrubs, perennials, hedges, and ornamental plants
- Plant health assessments and seasonal fertilization
- Bed maintenance, mulching, and seasonal decor installations
- Identify plant health issues and communicate recommendations to Account Managers
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members on proper techniques, efficiency, and safety
- Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization to professional standards
- Uphold Paragon’s reputation for exceptional service, attention to detail, and client satisfaction
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Proven experience leading a crew on high-end residential landscapes
- Strong horticultural knowledge: pruning, plant health care, soil management, and seasonal practices
- Understanding of plant aesthetics and design principles for luxury gardens
- Ability to identify and manage common plant diseases and pests
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license required
This role requires demonstrated crew leadership and specialized horticultural experiences in luxury landscapes.
