Key Responsibilities
Commercial Program (Auto Dealer/Rental):
- Understand the role and scope of Underwriter & UA duties related to endorsements, issuance, and rating setup.
- Utilize IMS for data storage and demonstrate proficiency in system functionality and tasks.
- Review prior-year files for Loss Control reports and MVR follow-up.
- Assess rental accounts without inventory lists and create a report with Program Leader and Retail Broker to measure improvements.
- Participate in property lookup for “specific rate” and entry in rating systems.
- Collaborate with rental leadership to develop state strategy tracking systems for leads.
- Work with underwriting to compare Inland Marine details and financial statements in existing files.
- Review standard WC claims terminology to understand claim status and reserve outlook.
- Profile largest claims within the Service American program.
- End-to-end processes for underwriting and rating setup.
- Market analysis techniques for rental and equipment dealer programs.
- Claims review and profiling methods using industry systems and Excel.
- How underwriting, risk control, and claims management integrate within insurance operations.
- Current student or recent graduate in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with IMS and Origami systems is a plus.
- Interest in underwriting, claims analysis, and marketing strategy.
