Senior Texitle Designer

About the Role:

Paragon Global Textiles, a leading international mill-direct supplier of premium upholstery fabrics since 2007, is seeking a creative Upholstery Fabric Designer to join our design team. You will develop original fabric designs that align with global trends for furniture manufacturers, retailers, and hospitality projects worldwide.

Key Reponsibilities:

Trend Research & Design Development

• Conduct comprehensive trend research through active participation inglobal home furnishings exhibitions (High Point Market, Heimtexti), producing analytical reports with actionable market insights
• Design innovative, commercially viable textile patterns and structures (jacquard, prints, embroideries) that precisely meet customers' demands
• Spearhead our bi-annual seasonal development cycle (Spring& Fall collections), effectively translating emerging trends into profitable product lines
• Conceptualize and execute compelling visual merchandising presentations that optimally showcase our fabric collections at client showings

Technical Execution & Production Support

• Create detailed technical specifications including yarn selections, weave constructions, colorways, and finishing specifications
• Collaborate with Chinese technical teams to ensure design feasibility for industrial production
• Manage sampling process to ensure custom designs meet both aesthetic vision and performance requirements

Client & Market Engagement

• Partner with sales teams at exhibitions to present product lines and articulate design innovations, technical specifications, and customization capabilities to potential clients
• Conduct in-depth client consultations to identify project requirements and translate insights into tailored design solutions, maintaining ongoing communication to ensure satisfaction

Industry Leadership

• Position company as customization leader through innovative made-to-order solutions
• Develop proprietary techniques for executing unique client requests

Requirements:

✅ Core Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or related field
• Experience: Minimum 5 years specializing in upholstery textile design 
• Technical Skills:

1. Expert proficiency in textile design software (Adobe Creative Suite, NedGraphics, or equivalent)
2. Comprehensive knowledge of fabric manufacturing processes (weaving, dyeing, finishing)

• Professional Competencies:

1. Demonstrated ability to manage complex design projects from concept to production within tight deadlines
2. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with sales, and production teams
3. Willingness for international travel to attend trade shows (Heimtextil, High Point Market) and conduct factory visits (China/Vietnam production bases)
