What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting & Logistics support Specialist position at Paragon Coffee Trading?
We are seeking an Accounting & Logistics support Specialist to become an integral part of our team supporting the accounting and logistics departments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, using accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Input financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and receipts, into the appropriate systems
- Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Prepare and process invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports
- Filing documents, maintaining organized financial records, and assisting with audits
- Perform other office tasks
- Analyze and approve for payment warehouse and broker invoices for reconciliation to company inventory
- Process and approve shipping documents from origin ensuring all relevant requirements are met
- Follow up on delivery orders to destination terminals to ensure containers are picked up in a time
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in billing, administration or logistics
- Experience in data entry
- Basic knowledge of standard accounting procedures
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Attention to detail
- Able to manage and organize a large volume of information
- Analytical, detail oriented with strong computer and math skills required
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- 4-year degree or 2-year accounting degree and post college work experience with similar skills preferred, but not required
- Spanish, or Portuguese language would be considered a plus
- Work conducted in person at White Plains office
