POSITION SUMMARY

The BHT is accountable for providing one-to-one services to an identified child / adolescent and family. This position’s primary function is to implement clinical service delivery goals consistent with overall agency goals and policy / procedures. The BHT also consistently maintains effective and efficient communication with his or her direct supervisor. The BHT hour requirement would be 15-20 billable hours. For the remaining 15-20 hours, the administrative assistant would assist with authorizations and other tasks listed below at the discretion of the clinical director.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains compliance with all training requirements and personnel documentation standards
  • Completes all training requirements as dictated by the state prior to working alone with clients; completes all required periodic trainings as dictated by the state during the first six months of employment and annually thereafter; complete all required trainings as per Professional Development Plan
  • Submits to Human Resources, in a timely manner, copies of all required documentation regarding degree, licenses, certifications, clearances and formal trainings
  • Provides services as defined by the program description, maintaining best practice standards in full compliance with licensure requirements
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with consumers, their families, payers, community support service representatives, co-workers and other agencies
  • Maintains professional relationships with consumers, their families, payers, community support service representatives, co-workers and other agencies
  • Actively participates in interagency meetings as required, and represent the agency in an effective and professional manner in all contact with clients, payers and collateral staff; participates in agency committees to develop and implement program/service enhancement
  • Consistently provides the full provision of clinically indicated services and the supporting documentation; provides all authorized client services and provide supporting documentation for re-authorizations, as necessary, in a timely manner
  • Submits accurate and timely payroll and billing documentation
  • Completes accurate and timely clinical documentation, including but not limited to progress notes
  • Monitors service effectiveness and make modifications to services based on supervisory and / or consultative feedback
  • Participates in all required individual and peer supervision, as well as all applicable program staff meetings
  • Collection of data under the direction of a Behavior Analyst
  • Modeling interventions needed to assist the parent or caregiver to address the clients’ goals and objectives specified in the ITP
  • Provide instruction to show the client how to direct, manage and control targeted behaviors
  • Aid with the development of socially acceptable behaviors
  • Problem solving skill development to address skill deficits
  • Remain compliant with supervision and training requirements as set forth by state, federal, and company regulations
  • Sign the BACB Ethical Code of Conduct and abide by it at all times
  • Maintain supervision hours as set forth in the regulations by BACB
  • Abide by all regulations set forth by the BACB
  • BHTs that received Registered Behavior Technician training/certification through Paragon are required to continue to abide by original signed contract
  • RBTs that leave Paragon’s employ must remove Paragon RBT Requirements coordinator as his/her supervisor from the BACB website
  • Maintain RBT credentials

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Submit assessment requests to insurance companies
  • Entering assessment authorizations into WebABA
  • Notifying team of assessment deadlines
  • Preparing Plan of care documents
  • Notifying intake coordinator of any upcoming written order timeframes
  • Send vineland assessments to parents via email
  • Track supervision forms and notifying supervisor and director of missing forms
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Service Discipline (preferred) OR one of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in a Non-Human Service Discipline with 1-year full-time, paid experience working with children
    • Associate's degree (human services discipline preferred but not required) and 3 years full-time, paid experience working with children
    • Associates Equivalent (60 credit hours or greater) and 3 years full-time, paid experience working with children
    • High School Diploma
    • Proficient computer skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires current PA State Criminal Background, FBI Fingerprinting Screen and Child Abuse clearances
  • OIG / Medicare / Medicaid Exclusion List Verification
  • Social Media Background Check
  • Technology Acknowledgement Form

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to interact visually and verbally with clients. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to ten (10) pounds and may infrequently lift and / or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision

abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
