Role Description
he Brand Development Manager, Southern California is responsible for driving volume and distribution growth, account execution, brand visibility, and education across assigned markets in Southern California. This role works closely with the Region Manager – West Coast and partners with distributor teams, key accounts, and market stakeholders to execute regional strategy.
Location: Southern California North, with primary focus on Los Angeles
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 plus performance bonuses
Reports To: Region Manager – West Coast
Key Responsibilities
- Drive depletion, revenue, and distribution goals
- Manage target on- and off-premise accounts
- Build relationships with buyers, GMs, and beverage decision-makers
- Maintain close communication with distributor teams
- Execute programming and brand standards in market
- Identify visibility opportunities including menus, displays, e-commerce, and events
- Lead trainings, tastings, and consumer engagement events
- Support cocktail list placements and menu features
- Track KPIs, market trends, competitor activity, and budget spend in CRM
- Communicate weekly updates, wins, and challenges to leadership
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of beverage alcohol sales experience
- Tequila/spirits experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of the California three-tier system and compliance
- Existing Southern California on- and off-premise relationships preferred
- Comfortable working nights and weekends as needed
- Reliable transportation for in-market travel

- Strong on- and off-premise selling skills
- Distributor management and account strategy experience
- Strong follow-up, organization, and relationship-building
- Budget management and ROI understanding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication
