What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Bather position at Paradise Pet Hotel & Day Spa?
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Dog Bather to join our team and help provide excellent care for the dogs at K-9 Country Club and Paradise Pets. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals, has a strong work ethic, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment.
The Dog Bather will be responsible for bathing dogs, assisting with basic grooming services, maintaining cleanliness in the bathing area, and helping ensure each pet is handled safely and compassionately. This role requires working at both of our facilities, so reliable transportation is a must.
This position will also require flexibility, as team members may occasionally be asked to assist in other areas of the facilities, including the back kennel and front desk, based on business needs.
Schedule:
This position is scheduled Monday through Friday at 6:00 AM until the work is completed for the day.
Pay:
This position offers hourly pay, commission, and tips.
Responsibilities:
- Bathe dogs thoroughly and safely
- Blow dry dogs thoroughly
- Trim nails
- Clean ears
- Express glands
- Assist with basic grooming preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized bathing area
- Handle pets in a calm, safe, and caring manner
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Travel between K-9 Country Club and Paradise Pets as needed
- Assist in other areas of the facility when needed, including the back kennel and front desk
- Communicate well with team members and management
Requirements:
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must have reliable transportation
- Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift, handle, and restrain dogs safely when needed
- Previous bathing or animal handling experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
