What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pesticide Technician position at Paradise Grounds?
Range of pay pending the following: This position requires reading, organization, and social skills. Knowledge of the greater Syracuse area helpful. Must be able to work independently, and have a proven record of doing so. Knowledge of weeds, chemical treatments, insects, preferred, or the ability and desire to study for the position. Requires walking, lifting 50# several times a day. The ability to ride on and properly use a Perma-green. NYS Commercial Applicators or Technician preferred, but we will consider training the right individual, if you are someone with 2-5 years local, commercial mowing/skidsteer experience, a clean drivers license, and if you are also able to operate a truck and a trailer.
Most importantly this position requires common sense, the ability to follow all the laws and legal requirements surrounding the use of pesticides. The desire to do thing well, to solve lawn problems, to think and react independently, and help us with this fast growing sector of our company.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
