What we are looking for in a Junior Developer

• Knowledgeable: Demonstrates API integration experience, preferably with multiple platforms, and some database knowledge. Proven coding ability in more than one language, with a strong preference for PHP, Python, and JavaScript.
• AI-Augmented Developer: Comfortable utilizing generative AI tools and custom coding agents (such as GitHub Copilot and LLM-assisted interfaces) across all software development pipelines. Focus is on maximizing both speed of implementation and outstanding software quality through prompt engineering, code scrubbing, and rigorous validation.
• Platform Experience: Familiarity with team workflow orchestration, version control basics, and task management systems. Experience with Jira, Git-based revision control, and agile boards is highly preferred. QuickBase or Zoho system experience is extremely helpful, but not required.
• Skilled Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of engaging with internal clients to understand business processes, diagnose issues, and document solutions with utmost empathy.
• Team Player: Humble, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and a hard worker. Values collaboration and active contribution to continuous improvement of team standards.
• Passionate: Excited about solar energy and the transition to renewable power. Possesses a deep, internal desire to continuously learn, experiment, and build technical knowledge and skills.
• Comfortable with Future Workplace Transitions: You are able to work from our Paradise office and are willing to transition to our new office location in Mount Joy when it opens in late 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Take Ownership of Focused Projects: Successfully manage and drive small, focused development projects from intake to deployment, ensuring that solutions align directly with user requirements and core technical quality standards.
• Orchestrate Workflow Layers (Jira & Trello): Maintain excellent 'ticket hygiene' on our team's issue and project-tracking systems. Actively update sprint progress, document technical scope, detail resolution steps within Jira, and use Trello to organize support streams.
• Resolve Support Tickets with Empathy: Provide outstanding assistance for internal company help requests, resolving software integration bugs or platform errors in a timely manner. Ensure all support requests are addressed inside of established SLA parameters, keeping stakeholders updated.
• Pioneer AI-Driven Efficiency & Quality: Cooperate extensively with AI assistants, generative models, and testing suites. Leverage automated agents safely to accelerate design, scaffold test suites, and perform deep code reviews while keeping all internal IP completely confidential.
• Develop Data Integrity Layers: Design, test, and manage underlying database tables and API integrations. Ensure data integrity, retention, and secure transmission across platforms such as QuickBase, Zoho, Sage Intacct, and internal databases.
• Design & Synchronize API Pipelines: Research, map, deploy, and manage continuous syncing processes across various software portals using standard REST APIs and middleware systems.
