What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Worker/Teacher position at Paradise Child Care Center?
The Daycare Center Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children in the daycare program. This position supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development through age-appropriate activities and positive interactions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all children at all times.
- Plan and implement daily educational and recreational activities that support learning and development.
- Promote positive behavior and guide children in developing social and self-help skills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom or play area.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress, needs, and any incidents.
- Support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with feeding, diapering, toileting, and nap routines as needed.
- Observe and record children’s growth, behavior, and development for reports and
- parent conferences.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations and center policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage in play with children.
- Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMNET:
