The successful Career Transition Specialist (CTS) is solution driven. The goal? To find Hartford Job Corps students jobs in their trade upon graduation. Jobs where they can continue to learn and grow professionally and earn a good income. The CTS builds and sustains professional relationships with area businesses and institutions where students can launch their careers. The CTS regularly meets with students to identify and nourish their individual talents and abilities. The CTS assists with resume writing, conducts mock interviews, coaches and encourages students to do their best and persevere. The successful candidate will be highly organized and motivated to meet or exceed goals. They will find solutions when none seem evident. In addition, the CTS will be technically capable and creative when developing marketing campaigns. Experience in direct sales or retail a plus. Multi-lingual a plus. Bachelor's Degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or related from an accredited school or Associates Degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, etc. with two years' related experience. Schedule: 8am-5pm M-F Salary $47,500 plus incentive pay.
