About Paradigm Wellness
Paradigm Wellness is South Texas’ largest wellness clinic for acupuncture and the recipient of multiple awards for Best Clinic for Fertility and Pain Management and is routinely featured on local and national news networks. A patient-first wellness clinic built on calm lobbies, on-time starts, strong patient experiences, and meaningful outcomes, Paradigm Wellness has served over 30,000 patients across acupuncture, massage, and skincare and is currently expanding their operations to serve the community even better.
At Paradigm Wellness, we manage pain, metabolic and chronic conditions, women’s health, stress, and overall wellness. Patients come to us because they want more than a 7-minute visit and a new prescription; they want a team that can look at the whole picture.
We are now adding a Primary Care Physician to lead and grow our primary care service line as we expand.
Why this role is different:
- 100% outpatient primary care in a wellness-focused setting
- No inpatient rounding, no home health driving, no trauma call
- Work closely with acupuncturists, a chiropractor, massage therapists, and a physical therapist to build shared care plans
- Help design and shape a new primary care program with support from an experienced management team
- Focus on long-term relationships and root-cause work, not just throughput
General Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to adults (and optionally families, depending on training and interest)
- Perform thorough histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations
- Manage common acute and chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, thyroid, lipid disorders, depression/anxiety, pain syndromes)
- Develop individualized care plans that incorporate medication, lifestyle, and appropriate integrative therapies
- Coordinate care with in-clinic providers (acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, PT) and external specialists as needed
- Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics
- Document clearly and efficiently in our EHR to support continuity and quality of care
- Participate in building and refining workflows, protocols, and patient education for the primary care line
- Support a culture of high-quality, patient-centered care, not just volume
- Engage in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- MD or DO with active (or eligible) Texas license
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Experience in outpatient primary care (newer attendings with strong clinic experience will be considered)
- Comfortable managing a broad range of adult primary care conditions; women’s health experience is a plus
- Interested in or open to integrative approaches (acupuncture, lifestyle, nutrition, supplements) alongside evidence-based medicine
- You value time with patients, team-based care, and long-term relationships more than cranking out visits
- You’re willing to help build something — refine workflows, give feedback on scheduling, and shape how primary care is delivered here
Schedule:
- Full-time, on-site in Corpus Christi
- Outpatient clinic hours (e.g., Monday–Friday; final schedule to be agreed)
- Minimal to no call (to be defined during the interview process)
Benefits:
We offer a competitive benefits package which includes 401(k), 401(k) matching, PTO, Professional Development Assistance, employee discounts and family discounts. We also offer Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance.
