About the Opportunity
Poppy Hill Dental Implants & Oral Surgery is opening a brand-new oral surgery practice in El Dorado Hills, CA. We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Surgical Assistant to support our surgeon in a fast-paced, patient-focused surgical environment.
This is a hands-on clinical role ideal for someone who thrives in oral surgery, values teamwork, and is committed to delivering a safe, exceptional patient experience.
What You’ll Do
- Assist during oral surgery procedures including extractions, implants, and grafting
- Prepare patients for surgery and review medical histories
- Monitor and document vital signs during procedures and sedation
- Support anesthesia and patient recovery
- Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and operatories
- Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols
- Take dental radiographs and imaging
- Maintain accurate charting and clinical documentation
- Provide pre- and post-op instructions and patient support
- Work closely with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow
What You Bring
- 1 year of dental or surgical assisting experience (oral surgery preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification
- California DA or RDA license and X-ray certification preferred
- Experience with sedation cases or willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate provider needs
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
