Part Mark and Packaging Technician

Job Summary
This morning shift is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am-3:30 pm, with a half day every other Saturday morning.

Duties

• You are responsible for the packaging of parts to be shipped to the customer.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• You will read and understand a work order, travel ticket and/or schematic to determine the proper process for all parts to be given a PartMark and packaged correctly.
• Once assigned a work order, you will gather all parts associated with the work order and compare them against the paperwork to verify that both the work order/traveler and parts match.
• Perform visual inspection to ensure parts have completed all processes.
• Package parts according to customer specifications which may require various stages of wrapping parts in plastic and foam. Parts may require other steps to include correct placement of stickers or other instructions.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and strive to perform without errors which can result in customer satisfaction issues.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE YOU’LL NEED:

• High School diploma; GED; 0-1 year of previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to handle a high volume of parts and packages at a quick pace while maintain the accuracy of work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Handle stress and occasional pressure in the workplace to meet production and customer delivery deadlines.
• General knowledge and proficiency to read, write, communicate, and understand English.
• Use common hand tools such as scissors, tape machines, stamping machines, and pallet jacks.
• You will need to work well with co-workers.
