Paradigm in searching for a Mechanical Assembler to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by prepping and finishing product builds for the Mechanical department before quality control reviews or tests.
Type: 6-month contract to hire
Location: On-site, Hillsboro, OR

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will:
- Follow weekly build/ship and production schedule for the department via immediate supervisor/team lead and inform immediate supervisor/team lead if schedule will not be met
- Prepare the customer fixtures for press fit
- Finish the buildup of circuit boards from touch up according to specifications
- Ensure proper labeling of circuit boards before sending quality control or testing
- Inform supervisor or lead of any issues found on incoming boards to get directions on how to solve or how to fix the problem
- Audit kits from Prep/Insert to ensure the kit includes the right customer approved components and count is correct
- Ensure production area is clean and maintained
- Redline and communicate any documentation discrepancies to immediate supervisor
- Communicate any quality issues to the immediate supervisor within fifteen (15) minutes of finding
- Keep safety stock of all production consumables and order supplies as needed through immediate supervisor
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years’ established work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or computer component environment
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective communications with other team members and stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Must be able to read and comprehend assembly and build instructions and other written material
- Must be able to learn and work with LEAN working methods and processes
- Must comply with standards set by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Ability to learn and follow ISO 9000 process
- Basic computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
