What are the responsibilities and job description for the PLS CADD Technician position at Paradigm Information Services, Inc.?
Paradigm is seeking a PLS CADD Technician to support our client, a leading full-service geospatial solutions provider. We are looking for someone with expertise in transmission line engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and aptitude for applying remotely sensed data within PLS-CADD software to model transmission lines.
Type: 6 - 8 month contract
Location: USA Remote | PST Hours required

As a PLS CADD Technician you will:
- Prepare and update PLS-CADD transmission line models for voltages ranging from 69kV to 550kV.
- Integrate remotely sensed data (LiDAR) and terrain mapping into PLS-CADD models with accuracy and precision.
- Assist with the creation of as-built survey models for lattice, framed, and guyed structures.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure drafting deliverables align with project goals and timelines
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
- 2 years of experience in transmission line modelling in PLS-CADD modeling, or working with as-built engineering data in a GIS environment
- Hands-on experience with PLS-CADD; familiarity with PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, or other PLS tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of transmission and distribution utility systems
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality outputs under deadlines.
