VP of HR

Summary/Objective
In keeping with our organization’s goals, the Director of Recruitment leads the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of talent acquisition across all of our facilities. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, building strong pipelines for high-volume clinical and non-clinical roles, and improving time-to-fill while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire recruitment process including wage analysis, job postings, and scheduling.

 

  • Develop and oversee execution of recruitment strategies tailored to long term care settings, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support roles as well as corporate position and other roles as needed.

 

  • Develop and implement initiatives to retain employees, including compensation and benefits packages, recognition programs, and opportunities for professional development.

 

  • Lead and manage a team of recruiters, as well as work with the HR Director recruitment efforts across multiple facilities.

 

  • Partner with operations and facility leadership to forecast workforce needs and align recruitment plans accordingly.

 

  • Track, analyze, and report key recruitment KPIs, including time-to-fill, source of hire, and recruiter performance.

 

  • Conduct regular wage analysis to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages.

 

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare-specific hiring regulations. Stay informed of industry trends, labor laws, and compliance regulations affecting recruitment and hiring practices. Ensure all recruitment activities meet legal and ethical standards, including adherence to equal employment opportunity (EEO) guidelines and non-discriminatory practices.
  • Evaluate and improve recruiting technology, tools, and workflows (e.g., ATS, MegaData).

 

  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, including job boards, schools, universities, and background check providers.

 

  • Champion candidate experience and employer branding initiatives specific to the long-term care space.

 

  • Drive process improvements to reduce hiring bottlenecks, time to fill and improve offer acceptance rates.

 

  • Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for the recruiting team.

Qualifications


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and
    Two (2) years of experience driving and implementing recruitment programs, plans, and initiatives, working with the latest technology, tools, and market data for recruiting and hiring talent in a health care or related setting;
  • Or an Associate’s degree with satisfactorily equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience.
  • Understanding of industry specific recruitment practices, recruitment metrics, and market surveys.
  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Experience and proficiency using applicant tracking software.
  • Advanced Excel experience

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Recruitment experience specific to long-term care is desired but not required.
  • ADP experience is a plus!

Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises the Recruitment Team.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the office.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

This job operates in an office setting. It may at times require traveling to various locations within an office. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, and reach as necessary.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Although this is generally a Monday through Friday position, there may be scheduled times of work outside of usual business hours. Significant events can occur at any given time that require working. Ongoing direction and support may be necessary if systems are not properly implemented, continuously improved, and monitored.

 

Travel

This role may at times require travel to company affiliates and to job fairs, open houses and sourcing events.
