What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Operating Officer position at Paradigm 3i Solutions?
Mission:
Own day-to-day delivery from design freeze → prototype → test → certification pack. Keep the company “run” functions tight (SOPs, docs, budget, website alignment) so the build team stays focused on the physical product.
Deliverables by May 15:
- Integrated Program Plan w/ weekly cadence: scope, timeline, budget/burn, risks, dependencies (Bay Innovators, test labs, suppliers)
- Certification Plan Dossier: map Paradigm Performance Standards → UL 12402 USCG pathways; assemble evidence, reports, artifacts for a new-category filing
- MVP documentation set: design history file, test plan/results, traceability, supplier quality files
- Operating System: SOPs, issue/risk register, supplier scorecards, EVT/DVT/PVT-style gates weekly exec readout
- Go-to-market readiness: coordinate 90-day marketing prep; ensure website mirrors progress positioning
- Tools: fluent with ChatGPT AI tools for documentation / research / scheduling
Qualifications
- Hardware / soft-goods product ops from prototype → certification (PMP a plus)
- Familiarity w/ UL 12402 USCG approval pathways
- Supplier management, cost/BOM control, stage-gate execution
Contract window: Jan 15 – May 15, 2026 (120 days)
Hybrid/Remote (Tampa on-site sessions field tests)
Engagement: 1099 (no benefits) under BAA/NDA/Business Protection Agreement
Rate: $55/hr up to 30 hrs/week
