The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in all aspects of daily operations, including team leadership, financial performance, guest service, and compliance. The AGM plays a key role in executing company standards, developing talent, and maintaining a culture of accountability and engagement.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly teams and supervisors
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including labor, inventory, and cost control
- Ability to drive guest service excellence and resolve escalated guest concerns
- Experience with hiring, training, and performance management
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food safety certification and alcohol service knowledge preferred
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the General Manager in overseeing all daily operations to ensure efficiency and profitability
- Lead by example in delivering best-in-class guest service and creating a positive team environment
- Coach, train, and develop team members to meet performance and service expectations
- Monitor labor, sales, and operational metrics to drive business results
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and airport regulations
- Address and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Partner with the General Manager on hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and brand presentation
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
