Outside Sales Rep

Position Summary:

As our Outside Sales Representative, reporting to the Outside Sales Manager, you will be a vital member of the Paraco Sales team. Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Educating current & prospective customers on offered products and energy services to select the best products and services
• Meeting with prospective clients while supporting creative energy solutions for current clients.
• Adding new business consistently by establishing relationships with potential customers
• Driving business development within your assigned territory by identifying, targeting, and winning new commercial accounts, including businesses currently serviced by competitors
• Prospecting high-value commercial segments such as motor fuel, construction temporary heat, agriculture, and multi-location businesses
• Building and maintaining a network of referral partners, including builders, HVAC and plumbing contractors, realtors, property managers, and equipment dealers, who consistently refer new customers to Paraco
• Use of CRM in all sales activities
• Developing proposals and business growth action plans
• Utilizing your proven prospecting and cold-calling techniques 
• Selling and closing sales appointments set by our inside sales professionals
• Acquiring and closing referral leads from existing customers and networking partners
• Logging follow-up with open leads in CRM within 24 hours of the initial visit.
• Developing account retention plans to build customer loyalty and protect the customer base from competitive threats
• Achieving individual account sales objectives and completing daily logs and weekly reports in a timely manner
• Participating in trade shows, conventions, and networking events promoting products and services
• Working with our customer service professionals, you will expedite the resolution of any customer issues

Qualification, Skills, and Experience:

• 3 years of outside sales and territory management experience required
• Hands-on experience using CRM
• Field sales experience is highly preferred, as this role requires the ability to travel extensively throughout your assigned territory
• A proven record of accomplishment and success in closing sale
• An engaging and outgoing professional who enjoys networking and possesses solid consultative selling skills to close sales
• An entrepreneurial, goal-based mindset
• Someone comfortable handling high dollar-sales transactions and large bids
• Exceptional communication, time-management, and negotiation skills 
• Possession of a reliable motor vehicle, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
