Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Scoop ice cream with precision, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, counters, and dining areas in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change.
- Upsell additional items like specialty sundaes or beverages to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Follow food safety protocols during food handling, serving, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as topping assembly or ingredient replenishment when needed.
- Support team efforts by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Adhere to quick service standards in a fast food restaurant setting while maintaining high-quality customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, retail math, or cashiering roles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Experience working in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple customers efficiently during busy periods.
- Background in culinary arts or café operations can be advantageous but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly attitude in retail or restaurant settings.
