Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
The primary job duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Restaurant & Back-Office Systems Administration
- Design, configure, implement, administer, and support restaurant POS and back-office systems, with a strong focus on Aloha POS and NCR Back Office (NBO).
- Customize system functionality to meet operational and business requirements.
- Partner with restaurant operations and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system solutions.
- Assist in the design, testing, and rollout of new features, integrations, and system enhancements based on user feedback and business needs.
- Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for productivity improvements, automation, and system optimization.
- Develop and maintain data integration processes between POS/back-office systems and other enterprise applications using SQL and SSIS.
- Create ad-hoc reports and support data and reporting needs across multiple systems.
- Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and adherence to internal standards and best practices.
- Support system deployments, upgrades, patches, and new restaurant openings in collaboration with vendors and internal IT teams.
- Provide second-level technical support for restaurant POS and back-office systems.
- Troubleshoot escalated system issues, identify root causes, and implement timely and effective resolutions.
- Document issues, solutions, configurations, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical problems.
Listed below are the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform this role. These qualifications are necessary for someone to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Hands-on experience supporting Aloha POS in a multi-unit restaurant environment strongly preferred.
- Experience with NCR Back Office (NBO) or similar restaurant back-office systems strongly preferred.
- Experience with SQL and SSIS.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, business processes, and system workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Physical requirements are the ability to perform a manual data input function for up to 50% of an 8-hour day on regular basis.
- This position requires a focused, self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work well under pressure with good organizational and project management skills.
