This position is responsible for performing physical and skilled work and labor related to the construction and repair of building framework and construction.

Carpenter Pay and Benefits:
- Up to $25 per hour, based on experience

- Completes shop projects and constructs building frameworks, including walls, doors and doorframes, using various types of Carpentry Shop equipment.
- Erects, levels and installs building framework with the aid of rigging hardware.
- Installs structures and fixtures.
- Ensures the Carpentry Shop is properly cleaned after jobs are completed, including packing all materials and tools and disposing of trash.
- Three years’ experience working in the carpentry trade.
- Ability to read shop drawings.
- Ability to safely operate all Carpentry Shop equipment.
- Ability to measure, cut and shape wood and other applicable materials.
- Knowledgeable regarding lumber grades and materials.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently as necessary.
- Possess a valid driver license for the state in which employed.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers.
- Possess a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work variable and flexible hours, and overtime as needed.
- Requires good physical dexterity. Position will reach, kneel, stoop, bend, and rotate trunk.
- Requires good manual dexterity. Position will use common hand and power tools including screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, air compressors, nail guns, table saws, grinders, drills and other tools related to carpentry.
- Requires the ability to erect and climb portable ladders, climb through roof hatches on fixed ladders, and work on roof tops.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
