About Marie Papini
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia with over 19 years of experience supporting youth, families, and adults. Before opening Papini Counseling, I served as a professional school counselor for 17 years, working closely with students in middle and high school settings. My private practice specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and populations navigating transitions, anxiety/depression, emotional regulation, and self-esteem concerns.
I hold specialized training and certifications in trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based interventions, and evidence-based practices for anxiety and depression. I am certified in DBT and EMDR modalities, and am passionate about empowering clients to recognize their strengths, develop effective coping skills, and build fulfilling lives. I have many years of experience supervising and mentoring masters-level students in both school counseling and clinical mental health fields. I value creating a supportive environment where new clinicians can grow in confidence and competence while maintaining a healthy work–life balance.
