The Project Manager leads the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for public, private, and special-purpose utility district clients. This role manages multidisciplinary teams, oversees project execution, and cultivates strong client and community relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Lead and mentor project teams in the preparation of engineering designs, reports, calculations, permitting documents, and presentations.
- Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and client agreements.
- Develop responses to RFQs, solicitations, and bond applications for utility district and public sector clients.
- Attend client, municipal, and board meetings to present project progress and provide technical expertise.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, and community leaders.
- Support the technical and professional development of team members.
- Contribute to company-wide design standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing water and wastewater projects from conception through completion.
- Strong knowledge of design and construction practices for waterlines, storage tanks, pump stations, wastewater lines, lift stations, and force mains.
- Working knowledge of design and construction for water and wastewater systems, including treatment facilities.
- Proven leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and sustain client and stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with overtime as needed.
