Overview
Job Description:
Leads the design and coordination of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pumping stations, storage tanks, and treatment facilities. Works independently and collaboratively to execute technical designs, manage permitting, and support construction services.
Responsibilities
∙ Lead the design of water and wastewater systems including distribution, collection, and pumping facilities
∙ Develop engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
∙ Conduct hydraulic modeling and evaluate system performance
∙ Prepare and submit permitting documents; address agency comments
∙ Collaborate with internal teams and subconsultants to meet project goals
∙ Maintain technical documentation including reports, plans, and logs
∙ Support client presentations and technical discussions
∙ Mentor junior engineers and design staff
∙ Ensure compliance with applicable codes and quality standards
Qualifications
∙ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
∙ Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
∙ Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design
∙ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
∙ Familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD) preferred
∙ Effective communication and time management skills
∙ Strong analytical and organizational abilities
∙ Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings
∙ Dependable and adaptable to project demands
∙ Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed
