Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment while adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines. The Equipment Operator will play a critical role in supporting construction projects by effectively managing machinery operations.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and skidsteers.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Experience operating dump trucks, and water trucks.
- Collaborate with construction teams to execute project plans efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
- Assist in the setup of equipment as needed for various projects.
- Assist the rest of the team in laborer activities when operating equipment is not required. Such activities include: shoveling, cleanup, assembling, and equipment mobilization.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment in civil works construction environment.
- Proven proficiency experience operating: excavators, loaders, skidsteers.
- Proficiency in operating various machinery including Cats, Hitachi, Kobelco, and others.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- A strong commitment to safety practices and procedures on the job site.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding Construction engineering plans and drawings.
Pay: $20.00 - $70.00 per hour
Experience:
- Excavation: 5 years (Required)
- Earthwork: 5 years (Required)
- Construction: 5 years (Required)
- Civil Works: 1 year (Preferred)
- Construction laborer: 5 years (Required)
- Excavator: 3 years (Required)
