What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd shift Delivery Driver position at Papas Bakery?
Papas Bakery is looking to partner with a delivery driver associate to distribute fresh baked goods to customers that include restaurants, grocery stores, schools and hospitals. 3rd shift is the best time to deliver because there is very little traffic to deal with and buildings and docks are not congested with other vendors. Start times range between 9 pm and midnight, 2 to 5 days per week. Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours Monday night through Friday night and off Saturday and Sunday night. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. No CDL required. Must be able to work a full 8 hour shift if needed and be on call Monday through Friday night. Must have verifiable past work references.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of baked goods to different addresses through different routes
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Complete logs and reports
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
Skills
- Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
- Valid professional driver’s license
- Ability to drive a 15 foot cube van with an automatic transmission in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
- Good driving record with no traffic violations
