Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and execution of banquet events, ensuring all details are addressed for a seamless experience.
- Manage and inform banquet staff, fostering a positive team environment while promoting professional development.
- Maintain inventory control and manage party set up to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in all food handling areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate menu planning and food preparation for events.
- Supervise shift management, ensuring that all staff are performing their duties effectively during events.
- Handle customer inquiries / emails and feedback promptly to enhance overall satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality management or restaurant management, with a focus on banquet or catering services.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and staff training & development.
- Background in fine dining or casual dining experience is preferred, along with culinary experience in food preparation and production.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting within the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Previous supervisory experience is essential; assistant manager experience is a plus.
