This role oversees all HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor and employment laws. The HR Director will develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures that support restaurant operations and a positive workplace culture. Daily responsibilities include advising managers on HR matters, handling complex employee issues, coordinating training and development initiatives, and monitoring HR metrics such as turnover and staffing levels. The role also partners with leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, and initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, and safe working conditions in a restaurant environment.

Qualifications
- Strong Human Resources (HR) leadership experience, preferably in hospitality, restaurant, or retail environments.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain HR policies that are practical, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations and performance management, including coaching leaders and resolving complex workplace issues.
- Solid knowledge of labor and employment law, with experience ensuring compliance at the federal, state, and local levels in California.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing change, scaling HR processes for multi-location operations, and using HRIS tools and data to support decisions.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Covina, CA, and occasionally travel to other locations as needed.
