Duties

• Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods along assigned routes, ensuring timely arrivals.
• Use strong organizational skills to plan efficient routes, manage delivery schedules, and optimize daily performance.
• Engage with customers professionally, providing exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and upselling additional products when appropriate.
• Handle heavy lifting and merchandise loading/unloading with proper technique to maintain safety standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, route logs, and documentation of transactions.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the route.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with traffic laws and company policies.

Experience

• Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong math skills for pricing calculations, route planning, and transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during merchandise handling.
• Knowledge of route driving, merchandising techniques, and basic sales principles enhances success in this role.
• Military experience involving logistics or driving is considered a valuable asset due to its emphasis on discipline and organizational skills.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential; familiarity with traffic laws and safety regulations is a must.
