Job Title: Floater (Childcare Assistant)
Position Summary:
We are looking for a caring, energetic Floater to join our team! In this role, you will support all classrooms by assisting teachers, engaging with children, and helping create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with children and enjoys a flexible, team-oriented position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support lead teachers with daily activities, playtime, and routines
- Help create a safe, happy, and engaging environment for all children
- Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and general care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Float between classrooms to provide coverage and support where needed
- Participate in learning activities, play, and nap time routines
- Follow all licensing regulations and center policies
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and families
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with children is a plus, but not required
- Flexible, dependable, and a team player
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screening
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift children as needed
- Comfortable actively engaging with children throughout the day
