Parts Runner
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Responsible for safely transporting parts and supplies to and from warehouse to support mining operations. This person will also be responsible for assisting the sourcing manager and technicians with maintaining warehouse upkeep and equipment services. The position will also require assisting at times mine officials with various duties and strenuous tasks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Be thoroughly familiar with warehouse and mine equipment (forklifts, loaders, trucks, etc.)
- Assist warehouse personnel with tasks when warranted including (counts, housekeeping, etc.)
- Communicate with mine officials about cores and parts returns.
- Occasionally need to pull, pack materials, and prepare documents for orders to ship to mines or other warehouses.
- Keeps a clean and safe work area.
- Supports Blackhawk’s needs in a timely and professional manner.
- Follows all Company safety guidelines.
- Assists in the identification and removal of excess and/or obsolete inventory as required.
- Promptly notify appropriate individuals when materials are received from suppliers.
- Able to work a flexible schedule to cover other shifts in the event of an emergency or vacation period.
- Performs other job responsibilities and duties as assigned by Management.
- Conducts all work activities in compliance with Federal and State coal mining laws and Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
General Job Requirements - Must be able to proficiently:
- Have good communication skills written and verbal.
- Knowledge of Warehouse equipment operation i.e. forklifts.
- Must be able to follow specific instructions while performing primary responsibility duties.
- Perform to established standards of work performance and conduct.
- Must display the necessary and consistent energy in performing job tasks.
- Have acceptable mental and physical dexterity to complete job tasks. Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs. occasionally.
- Be able to work in a Team-oriented environment.
- Follow specific instructions while maintaining acceptable established standards of work performance and conduct.
- Exhibit acceptable interpersonal skills and the continuous ability to work in and promote a team-oriented atmosphere.
Position Prerequisites/Preferences/Certifications/Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Clean driving record.
- Familiar with forklift and other warehouse equipment operation.
